Scouts and Guides

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka

The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is the national Scouting and Guiding association of India. The national headquarters of BSG is recognized by the Government of India.

Guiding in India started in 1911 and was amongst the founder members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1928, also covering present day Bangladesh and Pakistan at the time. The BSG serves 2886460 Scouts ( as of 2011) and 1286161 Guides ( as of 2005).

Objectives –

To contribute to the education of young people through a value system based on the Scout/ Guide promise and law to built a better world where people are self fulfilled as individuals and play Constructive role in society.

Activities --

1) Pravesh Investiture

2) Pratham Sopan

3) Dwitiya Sopan

4) Tritiya Sopan

5) Rajya Puraskar /Award

6) President Puraskar /Award.

7) Different activities are conducted in College as, Social work, Tracking, Knotting,

Camping, Hike, Tent making for 3-4 persons, Gendering, Bandages, Test for different

Badges( proficiency) are conduct at College level.

8) Over all attention is given to make a truthful and honest citizen in Country.
