Women Empowerment Cell

Women empowerment cell has been constituted to empower and safeguard the rights of students and staff of the college. The cell works for the welfare of the students and faculty members and to prepare them into competent professionals to take up greater challenges in the academic sphere. With the view of considering today’s challenging environment, the cell creates awareness in various fields such as legal awareness, health awareness etc. it provides a platform for women to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society and to suggest, guide to improve and empower themselves.

Aim and Objectives

• In view of taking up women’s issues and problems the cell create awareness of the rights and duties by arranging various workshops and programs.
• The focus of the cell is to eliminate the discrimination and all forms of violence against women and girl child in the Indian society.
• The cell aims at intellectual and social upliftment of the students.

Activities

1. Inauguration of Women Empowerment Cell 2022-23
2. Legal Awareness Programme for students by Smt. Geetamani, Additional Senior Civil Judge, Saraswati Hotkar Additional Civil Judge Mudhol.
3. 10 Days Yoga Camp for Students by Shri. Girish Metri, Yoga instructor.
4. Taekwando Training course for students to equip them with Self Defence Techniques.
5. Health Awareness Programme for students by Dr. Asha Panchagavi, Dermatologist Mudhol.
6. Food Fest for self employment.
7. Celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th.
8. Celebration of World Mental Health Day

Students Achievements

Students achieving 1st, 2nd & 3rd places respectively in various competitions such as Rangoli, Cook without fire, Collage, Mehandi and Painting organized in college under Women Empowerment Cell.
